My Thoughts

Exquisite classic designer high heel shoes by french designer Christian Louboutin. The "Pigalle" is the original and most iconic pair of classic pointed toe created by the world renowned designer, and has influenced the styles such as the "So Kate" "Follies" and "Plato". This chestnut colour named "Blush no.5" is part of a collection of colours influenced by a range of skin tones. In an interview Mr.Louboutin explained the reason behind the choice of these tones "They disappear like magic and become a fluid extension of her legs, as in a sketch, elongating the silhouette". Their are 5 colours in the collection, aptly named "Blush no.1-5", and range from a fair blush tine to a rich chestnut. These shoes were featured in the "Shoes: Pleasure & Pain" exhibition in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, England. This collection was first released in 2013 as part of the "Nudes Collection", then a year later 2 more tones were added, increasing the Blush range from 5 tone's to 7 tones. These tones were reserved for only a few select classic styles the "Pigalle, Fifi, Simple, Vendome, and Flo" and in recent times has grown, including the much desired "So Kate" famously named after supermodel Kate Moss.

The "Pigalle" was named after an area of France's capital city. The Pigalle rapidly became a bestseller and remains one of Louboutin’s most iconic designs. The appeal lies partly in the shoe’s ability to firm a woman’s calf muscles and raise her rear. "I would say that the Pigalle is pretty much all about sex because it leaves all the body language to the body," explains Mr.Louboutin. These shoes have a pointed-toe and a 100mm (4 inches) heel height, perfect for daily wear. The material is a soft, high quality kid leather, whilst the leather sole has a glossy red paint-lacquered finish, which distinguishes Christian Louboutin shoes from other top name designers such as Jimmy Choo, Cesare Casadei, and Valentino.
