My Thoughts
The newest addition to the Jimmy Choo pointed toe family, the 'Romy'. With the success of the iconic 'Anouk', 'Abel' and lower heel styles in this range, Jimmy Choo has introduced the 'Romy' which features a soft point and a slightly different heel. The 'Romy' comes in many different heel heights, ranging from 110mm all the way down to 40mm (there is a flat's version also). This version is covered in coarse glitter, with silver at the heel end, blending into the navy at the point. I love the coarse glitter material, as it catches the light and shimmers, just like how a diamond ring would. The heel is the same width as a pencil, completely straight (unlike the anouk) and made of metal in silver.
Like all Jimmy Choo shoes the craftmanship is exceptional, made in italy, fully lined in leather along with the sole. The shoes look amazing and are certainly suited for the evening, either with a stunning black, navy or silver dress, to which you can accessorise your bag in one of the alternative colours. I personally think these look best with a black dress, and the lipstick clutch by Tom Ford, (the one with the black leather lipstick holder). However you style these, you will have everyone's attention, and they have even be staring at the stunning shoes all night long.
The 'Romy' pump has been worn by many celebrities in an arrange of colours. These celebrities include Kerry Washington, Ana Ivanović, Emma Roberts, Shay Mitchell, Lupita Nyong'o, Oprah Winfrey and Milla Jovovich.
I have recommended pairing these pumps with an 'Aida' one-shoulder ribbed black stretch-knit midi dress by Solace London, and a 'Lipstick' silver glitter plexiglas and black leather box clutch by Tom Ford. The retail price for the 'Romy' was £475 GBP.
